Uganda cadastral map, zone listings & verification

Overview

Uganda listings on Eyemoved connect to cadastral zones and Ministry Zonal Offices (MZOs) — the regional land registry offices. The public map is at [Cadastral map](/uganda/cadastral-map) (also linked in the main header when browsing Uganda).

Cadastral map basics

22 cadastral zones and 22 MZO markers on an interactive map.

Click an MZO (marker or sidebar list) to see office contact details and districts served.

Double-click an MZO marker to show for-sale listing pins in that zone:

- Residential (homes for sale) — light blue

- Land — green

- Commercial — orange

In zone mode, the info card legend includes Hide checkboxes — check a row to remove that pin colour from the map; uncheck to show again. Filters reset on Reset or when you open another zone.

Use Reset on the info card to leave zone mode.

View listings in this zone opens a for-sale search filtered to that zone (`/land-properties`, `/homes-for-sale`, or `/commercial-properties` depending on context).

Rent on the cadastral map is off by default. Admins can enable it under Cadastral map page content → uncheck Exclude rent from cadastral map. When off, zone mode and cadastral header search are for-sale only (Buy-only header; main Rent nav disabled on the cadastral page). When on, residential rent pins (purple), Rent in the header search, and `/for-rent?mzoOfficeId=…` are included.

The cadastral page header uses the standard Buy / Rent residential search. Rent is hidden when exclude rent is on. Land and commercial use top nav and zone CTAs — not the header search box.

Zone mode loads up to 100 pins per category on the map; View listings in this zone opens the full SERP filtered by `mzoOfficeId`.

From a property page

On Uganda land, homes for sale, or commercial detail pages, the cadastral / verification panel includes View on Cadastral Map. The map centres on the property with a price pin; hover or tap for a summary, then click to return to the listing.

Verification is separate from appearing on the zone map: a listing can map correctly while still unverified.

Request land verification

1. Open a Uganda land detail page.

2. In Land Verification Status, click Request Verification.

3. Complete `/uganda/land-verification/[propertyId]` (ownership, plot/block, registry references — more detail helps admins verify faster).

4. When admin completes the request, the badge turns green. Certificate text on the PDP is available on request; admins generate certificates from verification requests or land property management.

Not the cadastral map

Draw on Map and Clear Map Boundary on Homes for sale, For rent, Land, or Commercial search pages are listing search tools, not the cadastral map. Drawing a boundary on `/for-rent` is unrelated to cadastral zone mode.
