Eyemoved offers several ways to find listings. You can use one approach or combine them—for example, type an area first, then narrow down on the map.

Text search
This is the familiar type a place, then refine with filters flow.
Use the location box on Homes for sale, For rent, Land, or Commercial (and similar listing pages). Enter a town, city, postcode, or neighbourhood name, then adjust price, bedrooms, property type, and other filters to match what you want.
On the home page, Standard Search follows the same idea: choose whether you are buying or renting, enter where you want to look, and open results.
The search icon in the header works the same way from many pages: enter a location and go straight to the buy or rent listings for that area.
Text search is built around named places plus filters. It does not try to interpret long sentences; for that, use AI Search below.

Advanced Search (more filters on the home page)
On the home page, the tabs above the search box include Advanced Search. Open it when you already know you want to set several filters at once—such as price range, bedrooms and bathrooms, property type, size, and other options—before you open the results list.
It searches the same listings as Standard Search; the difference is that you get a larger filter panel in one place instead of the shorter standard form.
Use Advanced Search when you prefer clicking choices to typing a story; use AI Search when you want to describe what you need in plain English instead.

Map search: Draw (click by click)
When a page shows a map next to results, you can often define exactly which patch of the map you care about by drawing a closed outline.
Choose Draw (wording may vary slightly). Then click the map once for each corner of your area—along streets, around a park, or around the blocks you care about.
Finish the shape the way the on-screen hint explains (often by clicking your first point again to close the outline).
Results update to show listings inside that area. You can usually clear the drawing and start over if you want a different boundary.
Draw is best when you want neat corners and straight edges, or you are following a simple shape step by step.
Some screens only offer Draw on the map, not Freehand—that is enough to search by area.

Map search: Freehand (sketch)
Freehand is for when you want to sketch an irregular area quickly with your mouse or finger instead of placing each corner.
Choose Freehand, then press, drag along the outline, and release to complete one continuous shape.
Like Draw, this defines one closed area on the map and filters listings to that region. The difference is how you draw: one sketching motion, not separate clicks.
If both Draw and Freehand appear on your map, pick Draw for precision and Freehand for speed. Wait a moment after tapping Freehand so the map is ready, then use a smooth press–drag–release motion.

AI search
AI Search is for describing what you want in everyday language instead of filling every filter yourself.
On the home page, use the tabs above the search box and choose AI Search. Write a short description—for example where you want to live, how many bedrooms, budget, and must-haves—and run the search.
The site turns that description into a structured search and sends you to results you can refine like any other search.
AI Search may have daily limits for visitors and extra allowance when you are signed in, depending on how Eyemoved is set up for your market. If AI Search is busy or not configured, you will be asked to use Standard Search or Advanced Search instead.

Saved searches and alerts
When you have a search you like—whether you started from text, Advanced Search, the map, or AI—use Save search or Create alert so new and updated listings can reach you by email without refreshing the site all day.
Choose email frequency if offered (instant, daily, weekly).
Pause or delete alerts from your account area when your plans change.
Narrow filters gradually; too many at once can hide good matches. You can save a search early and edit it later.
Signed-in users may also get in-app reminders or notifications depending on how your account and market are configured, but email remains the universal channel for saved-search alerts so you do not miss matches when you are offline.

Map and list together
On Homes for sale, For rent, Land, and Commercial pages that show a map beside the results, the desktop layout gives more room to the map while keeping the list visible: about 55% map and 45% results. You can zoom these maps with the mouse wheel alone; you do not need to hold Ctrl. The visible list, count, and pagination respond to the current map area. Switching between those pages using the main Buy, Rent, Land, or Commercial links keeps country and mapview (map bounds in the URL) when the site passes them on, and opening or refreshing a link that still includes mapview restores that map framing on load. If the URL has mapview but no location token yet, Eyemoved resolves a named place near the centre of that map area before the first list load so the search box and results use the same place. When you have typed or chosen a place (location search), the map zooms to that area along with the list — not only to a previous wide map view. Hovering links the list and the map:
Hover a map pin — the matching listing scrolls into view when it is on the current page, the pin highlights, the card shows a teal outline, and the map smoothly slides and zooms in on that listing. Moving directly to another pin retargets the motion without jumping back through the starting view. The session stays active while you cross blank map space or enter and leave the information card, so card hover is not required. Close the card, click the map, press Escape, or leave the map to return to your pre-hover view. If you drag, wheel-zoom, double-click zoom, or use a map control, Eyemoved keeps the camera position you chose. Pin-hover motion does not change your search area or `mapview`.

On Search results (`/search-results`), card hover zoom works the same way, with one extra behaviour: if you select a listing on the map (marker click), leaving hover returns the camera to that selected pin instead of the pre-hover view. You can scroll-zoom the map with the wheel without holding Ctrl.

Eyemoved may record **broad location or country** interest from searches in aggregate so the platform can show agents where buyers are looking. That helps stock and pricing decisions; it does not expose your personal identity from a search alone.
