    3. Information we receive from third parties
2.1 Information you provide to us

Depending on how you use Eyemoved, you may provide:

    • Account & profile information – name, email address, password, phone number, and your communication preferences.
    • Property preferences & search activity– saved searches, areas, budgets, property types, and flags such as "first-time buyer", "investor", or "landlord".
    • Enquiries and messages – the content of messages you send to estate agents, developers, or Eyemoved, and the contact details you include in enquiry and viewing request forms.
    • Tools & calculators – data you enter into calculators or tools (for example, price, deposit, income, rent) and answers to questions about your buying, selling, or renting position.
    • Professional & business information – for agents and partners, such as office details, professional contact details, job title, licences, and branding assets.
    • Feedback, surveys & support – responses to surveys, reviews, feedback forms, and information you provide when you contact support or exercise privacy rights.

You can choose not to provide certain information, but this may limit your ability to use particular features (for example, saving properties or requesting a viewing).

    2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use Eyemoved, we automatically collect:

    • Usage & device data – IP address, browser type and settings, device type, operating system, dates and times of access, pages viewed, referring and exit pages, click data, scrolls, search queries, time on page, and interactions with properties, tools, and UI elements.
    • Location information – approximate location derived from your IP address and, if you enable location services, more precise location from your device (which you can disable at any time in your browser or device settings).
    • Cookies and similar technologies – cookies, web beacons, pixels, SDKs, and similar tools used for essential site functionality, security, preferences, analytics, personalisation, and (where applicable) marketing.

For more detail, please see our Cookies Policy.

    2.3 Information from third parties

Legal bases for processing (EEA & UK users)

If you are in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

    • Performance of a contract – to provide the Services you request (for example, sending an enquiry or managing your account).
    • Legitimate interests – to operate, improve, and secure our Services; develop new features; personalise content; and prevent fraud and misuse. We balance these interests against your rights and expectations.
    • Consent – for certain uses of cookies and similar technologies and for specific types of marketing or location data where required by law. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
    • Compliance with legal obligations – to keep records, respond to lawful requests, and meet regulatory requirements.

    International data transfers

Eyemoved is a UK-focused platform but may use service providers and infrastructure located in other countries. This means your information may be processed outside the country where you live, including in countries that may have different data-protection standards.

Where we transfer personal data from the UK or EEA to countries that are not deemed to provide an adequate level of protection, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses and technical measures to protect your data.

    How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information in these limited circumstances:

5.1 With estate agents, developers, and other professionals

When you request information, book a viewing, or otherwise interact with a property listing, we share relevant details with the agent or professional so they can respond, including your name and contact details, the content of your message, and relevant property preferences or context you provide.

The assigned listing representative and their authorised agency team may respond through Eyemoved or using external channels such as telephone or email. Those professionals may act as independent data controllers under their own privacy policies. Eyemoved records delivery, receipt, and viewing-status information to support the enquiry journey, prevent misuse, and resolve disputes.

    5.2 With service providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to help us operate Eyemoved, such as hosting and cloud infrastructure providers, analytics and performance monitoring services, email and SMS delivery providers, security and anti-fraud vendors, and customer support tools. These providers are contractually required to use your data only to provide services to us and to protect it appropriately.

    5.3 For business transfers

If Eyemoved undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take steps to ensure your privacy is protected and notify you where required by law.

    5.4 For legal reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:

    • Comply with applicable laws, legal processes, or governmental requests.
    • Enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements.
    • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Eyemoved, our users, partners, or the public.

    Data retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including for as long as you have an active account or ongoing relationship with Eyemoved, for as long as needed to provide the Services you've requested, and to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

    Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and saved searches, understand how Eyemoved is used, and provide more relevant content and, where applicable, marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings and our in-product cookie controls. For more detailed information, please see our Cookies Policy.

    Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including to:

    • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
    • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
    • Ask us to delete your data where we have no ongoing legitimate reason to keep it.
    • Request that we restrict or limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
    • Request your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and transmit it to another controller where technically feasible.
    • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including certain types of profiling.
    • Withdraw consent where we rely on consent (for example, certain cookies or marketing).

You can exercise many of these rights directly via your account settings (where available) or by contacting us. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding. Some rights may be limited in certain situations, for example where we are legally required to keep data or where disclosure would affect the rights of others.

    Marketing preferences

    You can:

    • Click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email you receive from us.
    • Adjust your communication preferences in your account, where this feature is available.
    • Disable certain cookies via your browser settings or our cookie controls.

You will still receive essential service communications (for example, security or transactional messages) even if you opt out of marketing.
